DESCRIPTION: 2 January – 20 February 2024 (Tuesdays), 7.30 p.m. – 9.30 p.m.\n Online via Zoom\n Register by 26 December via link\n $100 per person (free for TTC alumni and TTC matriculated students – registration required)\nThis course investigates the challenge of empowering and equipping emerging young adults to reach their God-designed potential for spiritual transformation. The generation of young adults today is the first that has grown up shaped by the internet and by globalisation while many in church leadership are from an earlier era. As many churches today are multigenerational, how can churches have healthy intergenerational ministries? This course will help participants:\n\nunderstand who young adults are especially the Millennials and Gen Zs and the unique spiritual challenges they present for discipleship;\nunderstand what young adults need as they journey from adolescence to adulthood;\nbe introduced to key ministry strategies for ministering to young adults; and\nbe exposed to current local research as to how different generations perceive faith.\n\nThis course is conducted by Rev Dr Tan Soo Inn, a director of Graceworks, a training and publishing consultancy committed to promoting spiritual friendship in church and society. Rev Dr Tan has worked as a dentist, pastored two churches, and served in a number of parachurch organisations. He is an adjunct lecturer in various seminaries and serves as the chaplain of the Christian Medical and Dental Fellowship, Singapore. Rev Dr Tan’s primary passions include connecting the Word of God to the struggles of daily life, and the promotion of the discipline of spiritual friendship.\nOrganised by EQUIP\n
