DESCRIPTION: Thu 18 & Fri 19 July 2024 (2 days), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.\nFaith Methodist Church, Level 4 Worship Hall, 400 Commonwealth Drive, Singapore 149604\n Register by 1 July 2024 @ mws.sg/MWSxTRAC-REST\n $100/pax (includes bento lunch)\nREST is a two-full day training that will equip participants with biblical principles in embodying knowledge, skills, and attitudes to engage seniors wholistically through reminiscence, including those living with dementia. The aim is to boost the engagement of both believing and pre-believing seniors through Reminiscence Arts (RAs) conducted by the TRAC volunteers within their church communities.\nBy the end of the two-day training, participants will be able to:\n\nDefine reminiscence and appreciate the value of reminiscence in gospel presentation;\nApply biblical principles in reminiscence work;\nAcquire and apply facilitation skills in conducting a reminiscence and the gospel session;\nApply meaningful communication skills when interacting with seniors; and\nCustomise the 12 reminiscence sessions to meet needs of seniors in church.\n\nTrainers:\nArthur Wong (Founder, Reminisce Connect) and Patricia Lee (Co-founder, Reminisce Connect)\nCo-organised by MWS Research, Innovation and Training Academy (RITA) and TRAC Board of Seniors Ministry (TRAC BOSM), for more information, please email MWS RITA at rita@mws.sg ( mailto:rita@mws.sg ).\nRegister now @ mws.sg/MWSxTRAC-REST.
