The pandemic of Covid-19 has affected all our lives in one way or another. Control of this pandemic is challenging as the cause of Covid-19, the newly emerged SARS-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2), is transmitted fairly efficiently from person to person. While physical control measures, such as social distancing, can be effective if rigorously executed, long term sustainability of physical measures alone has been costly to societies. Consequently, the arrival of preventative vaccines has been much welcomed. However, can vaccines that have been developed in such rapid and unprecedented timelines be safe? What are the side effects? Should we be vaccinated or should we wait? How long will immunity last?
Join this webinar organised by TRAC Seniors Ministry to understand more about COVID-19 vaccines with Professor Ooi Eng Eong. All are welcome.
