How do you start Bible translation in a language that has no writing system? How do you reach out to an unreached people group with virtually no Christians? Come and hear how one couple has lived among the Bui and are working to give them God’s word in their own language!
The Bui ethnic group of Northern Thailand numbers about 10,000 people. The project began in 2011 with developing an alphabet for the Bui language and also crafting a set of oral Bible stories from the Old and New Testaments which have been uploaded in an app. The focus is now on written Bible translation and literacy.
The Bui project has been supported by Wycliffe Singapore’s R200 Programme since 2015.
