A time for ‘Silent Retreat’

TRINITY Annual Conference (TRAC) is once again organising the “Individually Directed Silent Retreat” this year following its success last year.

It will again be held at St Francis Xavier Major Seminary in Ponggol, this time from Sept 5 (6 pm) to Sept 8 (11 am).

Most of the retreat will be spent in silent listening to God. Each participant will have a spiritual companion who will meet him or her daily (individually) for 45 minutes.

There will be daily Holy Communion. There is an option to be in a faith-sharing group (if you do not wish to be totally silent throughout the retreat). There is also an option for those who want to fast to do so.

The retreat can take only 18 people on a first-come first-served basis.

The spiritual companions are Miss Teo Soo Hoong, Director of Spiritual Formation Programme at Paya Lebar Methodist Church; Mr Alfred Quah, a Pastoral Care Ministry Staff at Wesley Methodist Church; and Mrs Billie Masillomoney, a diaconal minister and a Christian Ministry Staff worker.

The cost per person is $150 in an air-conditioned room (only 10 rooms available), and $110 in a non air-conditioned room. The closing date for registration is July 31, 2002. Application forms are available from Nancy at the TRAC office, tel: 6337-4842.
