A Thanksgiving Memorial Service was held for the late Rev Dr Clarence Lim on 19 Nov 2014, during the 39th Session of the Trinity Annual Conference (TRAC).

The late Rev Dr Lim, who passed on to glory on 2 Oct, was Founding Executive Director of the Methodist Missions Society (MMS). Mr Lim Ern-Minn, son of the late Rev Dr Lim, shared how “God called Dad to build people and not to build homes”, despite the Reverend’s training as an architect.

Bishop Dr Wee Boon Hup said about the late Rev Dr Lim: “He understood the importance of not just winning people to Christ, but nurturing them, discipling them; so that they could multiply themselves, so that all that we have received in Christ can be passed on to others.”

During the 39th Session, Long Service Awards were presented to 19 recipients, including the Bishop himself who has served 30 years as a TRAC pastor.

At the Opening Service, TRAC thanked the Rev Dr Kang Ho Soon, who was about to retire in Dec 2014, for his 42 years of service. At the Closing Service, the Rev David Ho and the Rev Irene Thung were ordained as Elders, and Pastors Gladwin Lee and Benjamin Lee were ordained as Deacons. n
