THE Chinese Annual Conference (CAC) of The Methodist Church in Singapore was elected at the recent mission conference in Penang to head the World Federation of Chinese Methodist Churches (WFCMC) for the next five years.
The responsibility falls on the Rev Khoo Cheng Hoot, as CAC President, to chair the WFCMC Executive Committee as it prepares for the next mission conference in Sibu, Malaysia, in 2007.
The election of conferences instead of individuals to the Executive Committee assures continuity, according to the Rev Khoo, who said that he could not guarantee if he would be the president in five years’ time.
