FOR the fi rst time ever, the TRAC Board of Seniors Ministry and the Glowing Years Ministry (GYM) held a Thanksgiving and Dedication Service on March 28.
About 390 members and friends from 17 TRAC (Trinity Annual Conference) churches gathered at Christ Methodist Church for the service.
It was a momentous occasion as it was the first time that the Board members and local GYM Coordinators were dedicated. Each of them was presented with a devotion guide book in recognition of his or her service.
The GYM Co-ordinators at the Dedication Service were: Mr Henry Goh (Paya Lebar Methodist Church), Mrs Patricia Tan (Covenant Community MC), Ms Annie Ee (Cairnhill MC), Ms Sylvia Tan (Fairfi eld MC), Mrs Jenny Phua (Pentecost MC), Mr Wee Eng Hock (Trinity MC), Mr Adrian Lum (Toa Payoh MC), Mr Wong Tien Poh (Wesley MC), Mrs Tan Mei Ling (Christ MC), Mr Tan Bie Guan (Kampong Kapor MC), Mr Victor Foo (Methodist Church of the Incarnation), Mr Liew Kong Meng (Living Hope MC) and Mr Reginald Lim (Living Waters MC).
The Rev Edmund de Souza, Pastor-in-Charge of Christ Methodist Church, gave the message which was taken from Psalm 121. He reminded and encouraged the seniors to “always depend on the Lord”, who is never far away and will always protect them from all harm.
The GYM Voices sang “I Will Praise You, Lord”, a composition by Bishop Dr Robert Solomon.
A sumptuous tea buffet followed the service and everyone departed, encouraged by God’s Word.
