In the story of Cain and Abel, two brothers each brought an offering to the Lord. The older brother, Cain, worked the soil and brought some fruit as an offering whereas the younger brother, Abel, brought the first of his flock along with the fat portions. God accepted Abel’s offering but rejected Cain’s offering.
Unlike Cain, Abel’s offering was accepted because he gave through faith (Hebrews 11:4). Although Abel had no way of knowing how many more lambs his ewe would produce, he trusted that God would continue providing for his needs.
Just as Abel offered his best, why not offer the best of your days to serve and get to know God? If you’re from a Trinity Annual Conference (TRAC) church and are a youth in transition or who simply wishes to dedicate three months of your life to God, do consider joining us for an exciting time at TRACKERS 2016!
What is TRACKERS about?
TRACKERS is a three-month discipleship programme for TRAC youths between the ages of 16 to 25 and will run from 6 Jan 2016 to 1 Apr 2016.
Said Samuel Chin, a previous Tracker: “For me, TRACKERS was a life-changing programme that gave me the opportunity to gather with like-minded youths.” TRACKERS 2016 will consist of three main components: Biblical Training Phase, Overseas Mission Trip and Creative Arts Outreach.
During the biblical training phase, you will get to discover your own spiritual gifts, learn about how to interpret the Bible and much more through lectures, which will assist you in growing your faith. Our dedicated team of mentors will help guide and keep you accountable as you discern God’s will in your life.
Additionally, you will get the opportunity to go on an overseas mission trip. Experience first-hand what it takes to plan and prepare a toolbox of activities to help bond with and reach out to those whom you’ll encounter overseas.
Besides the usual overseas mission trip and lectures, next year’s TRACKERS will get to be part of a special creative arts outreach. This unique opportunity will give you the chance to reach out to other youths through creative arts. To prepare for the outreach, you will get to attend workshops to refine your talents and use the skills you learn to bless your local church.
