Mr Lim Yan Hock, Principal of Geylang Methodist School (Secondary), has been posted to Presbyterian High School as its Principal. Ms Doris Ho has succeeded him. GEYLANG METHODIST SCHOOL (PRIMARY)

MS MABEL WEE Im Neo, who has retired as Principal of Geylang Methodist School (Primary), is the personification of a servant leader.

In her 12 years with the school, she was the role model for the spirit of compassion and empathy in her service to the school community and beyond, engaged the efforts of the parents’ support group and alumni, and nurtured the esprit de corps among the staff.

Her zest in growing both the staff and pupils in school was a manifestation of her good stewardship and investment of her love and efforts. Indeed, we are thankful to her for her generosity in growing God’s people at Geylang Methodist School (Primary). We are reminded of 2 Corinthians 9:6 “A farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.”

Ms Wee’s most notable legacy is a strong and cohesive leadership team, poised to meet the demands of the 21st century learning environment. She is indeed a Leader in Education.

We thank her for her dedicated service and wish her God’s blessings and guidance for the next lap of her life for “God, who began the good work within you, will contribute His work until it is finally finished.” (Philippians 1:6).

Mrs Rina Liang nee Mdm Yap Siu Lin succeeded her as Principal on Jan 1, 2009. She will continue to imbue in all staff, the GMS (P) creed – “Enter to Serve, Etch a Legacy”.
