MCS gives $20,000 to ‘Lebanon Humanitarian Fund’

THE Methodist Church in Singapore (MCS) has given $20,000 to the “Lebanon Humanitarian Fund”. In a letter addressed to all pastors on Aug 11, 2006, Bishop Dr Robert Solomon said: “The current conflict in Israel, Lebanon and Palestine has produced much loss of life and human suffering.

“Let us remember to pray in our churches for the worsening situation in the Middle East, and for all those who are affected. “May God bring comfort and peace to everyone who has been adversely affected in the region, and may He assist all who are working to bring a just and lasting peace to all the peoples in the region.”
