Disciple Agency (DA) and the Methodist Missions Society (MMS) will celebrate 25-year milestones in 2016, following The Methodist Church in Singapore’s (MCS) 130th anniversary last year.
Originating from The United Methodist Church, DISCIPLE is a leading disciplined Bible study aimed at developing strong Christian leaders and its mission is to build the body of Christ and help churches grow in the Word. This year, DA celebrates DISCIPLE’s 25th year in Singapore through plans to re-launch it with a video in a story format, where facilitators or members will share about their experiences going through the DISCIPLE Bible Study programme.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary is MMS, the missions arm of the MCS, and the first homegrown denomination-based missionary-sending agency in Singapore. MMS’ Vision 2020 is to plant 800 indigenous, self-supporting churches in its seven mission fields by 2020. It will be inviting all churches to its Thanksgiving Service to be held on 19 Aug 2016, following its last Thanksgiving Service on 20 Aug 2011.
