MMS’s mission is to mobilise the Methodist Community in Singapore to establish disciple-making and multiplying indigenous churches. In particular, MMS seeks to establish indigenous churches where there is no Methodist presence. The current focus is on the Asian region particularly Cambodia, East Asia, Laos, Nepal, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam.
MMS is a disciple-making movement that transforms lives. The realisation of this Vision is built upon a four-step multiplication model:
- Win the lost
- Build the believer
- Train the worker to be church planters and multipliers
- Mentor the leader
MMS is dedicated to addressing the real-life needs of the communities and churches, so as to rebuild, restore and reconcile people and communities back to God. To this end, MMS’s community development programmes include:
- Education
- Health care
- Missional business
- Disaster relief
To reach those whom Jesus died to redeem, MMS enlists, engages and empowers Methodists to serve in missions by praying for, participating in and giving financially.
