Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home was founded by Dr. Chen Su Lan in 1968. Located along Serangoon Garden Way, the Home provides shelter, support and care for approximately 90 children. It aims to retain a sense of normalcy for its young residents and help build self-esteem by integrating them into various public schools around Singapore and equipping them with tools to develop emotionally.

Vision and Mission
The vision for the Chen Su Lan Home is to be a premier children’s home where every child is nurtured to his/her full potential and ingrained with good Christian character.
The Home has a mission to provide loving, Christian nurture for needy and disadvantaged children of all races and religions so as to help them become happy and responsible members of their family and community.
The Home’s goals include:
- Fostering the children’s spiritual, educational, social, physical and emotional well-being,
- Providing an inclusive home environment to enhance the integration of special needs children with their mainstream peers,
- Assisting parents in problem-solving and coping with their difficulties, and
- Strengthening family relationships and enhancing the quality of family life
Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home is an approved voluntary welfare organisation registered under the Charities Act and has Institution of Public Character status. It is a full member of the National Council of Social Services.
