The CAC Seniors’ Ministry aims to increase members’ faith and spiritual growth, and to involve seniors in the churches’ fellowship activities.
CAC Seniors’ Ministry
CAC Seniors’ Ministry is in charge of worship ministries at old folks’ homes by Methodist Welfare Services (MWS), birthday celebrations, and Chinese New Year celebrations. We also convey MWS’ ministry needs such as MWS Flag Day to the various Districts. Fewer overseas trips are organised nowadays, but we focus specifically on areas such as spiritual growth, social concerns and recreation to allow our counterparts to enjoy their retirement years, stay healthy and continue to be blessed.
Through weekly prayer and Bible study classes in our CAC churches, our seniors are able to know God better and more deeply, understand His will, and grow closer in relationship to Him.
We believe that the Seniors’ Ministry is called to “proclaim [our Lord Jesus], admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.”
TRAC GLOWING YEARS MINISTRY (GYM)
At the TRAC Annual Conference in 1999, the Board of Seniors Ministry (BOSM) was established as a Board under the Discipline of The Methodist Church in Singapore (MCS). The vision for its Glowing Years Ministry (GYM) is to have spirit-filled seniors fulfilling God’s purposes and making disciples for Christ.

The goals of GYM include:
1. Celebration of God’s goodness through prayer and worship
2. Compassion for others through loving one another
3. Communication of the Good News to the unreached
4. Cultivation of personal growth by equipping the saints
5. Consecration of resources for ministry of seniors
TRAC GYM organises events, e.g. the Convention, high teas, bible study, and other activities for seniors from the local GYMs to come together for fellowship and bonding.
