Research, Writing & Illustrating
John Wesley: The World, My Parish is a labour of Favian’s love for comics, theology and biographies. He spent nearly two years researching the life of John Wesley so he could accurately translate the information into a digestible and engaging storyline over nearly 100 pages. Not forgetting the visual research that saw him pore over 18th century English garments and dressing to reflect his characters more realistically. The actual illustration work evolved from painstakingly sketched out frames in Favian’s notebook to more detailed ink-sketched panels before transitioning to the digital format where it was eventually coloured. The front and back covers of the graphic novel are hand-painted before it was digitally scanned for print production. This limited-print graphic novel is a one-of-a-kind gift—for yourself, your friends, and someone who will appreciate this beautiful artwork and artform.

A Video Tells Our Story
We wanted to give you an overview of this entire project—its beginnings, its aims and our hopes that rest with each novel that’s brought home. While a few minutes can’t do justice to the months-long efforts of each individual involved, we want to thank each one who helped, in deed and prayer, to make this graphic novel a reality.
