Many language communities have the Bible in their language but do not have access to it in a format they can easily use. Since 2010, Kalaam Media has been meeting this need by publishing Scriptures and related content in local languages on websites and in mobile apps. This half-day workshop shows how you can create mobile applications by using finalised Scripture files. The first hour will be spent installing software, then the rest of the time will be spent preparing and testing the apps. The finished app will work just like Kalaam apps on the Google Play Store, demonstrating what it’s like to build apps for minority language communities around the world as part of the Kalaam team. There are some technical requirements for the workshop but no coding experience is necessary.
