The historical books of the Old Testament (Joshua – Esther) chronicle roughly 1,000 years of Israel’s history, from entering Canaan (c. 1400 B.C.) to the post-exilic return. They focus on Israel’s life under God’s covenant, highlighting cycles of obedience and disobedience, the monarchy and God’s providence. This instalment of “Historical Books Part 1” will cover the books from Joshua to 2 Samuel. This series is led by Rev David Ho G.P.
