Trauma Healing Institute’s trauma healing programme provides basic mental health concepts with a biblical framework, using Scripture passages and composite real-life stories to help traumatised people connect the teaching with their circumstances.
Participants are evaluated during the equipping session through a simple test designed to assess mastery of the content. There will also be a short practice facilitation exercise which includes feedback on facilitators’ strengths, and suggestions to address areas that need improvement. This initial equipping session is followed by a 6-to-9-month practicum in which apprentice facilitators teach the core lessons or more at least twice. The training process is completed with an advanced equipping session.
