This course is a primer towards a holistic understanding of Christian spiritual formation (CSF) and how we can more integrally participate in our life in God. Combining theory and practice, participants will be introduced to rudimentary principles of CSF and be guided on classical spiritual exercises and liturgy. This course is for Christians who wish to gain a deeper and more holistic grasp of CSF and church leaders who wish to guide others to grow as disciples of Jesus, especially through small groups.
The instructor, Rev Dr Jimmy Tan, is lecturer of pastoral and practical theology at TTC, and an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in Singapore. He is a certified spiritual director and regularly leads retreats and offers spiritual direction at TTC and beyond.
