My wife, Eunice, and I are founding members of Living Waters Methodist Church (LWMC). It is a privilege to see how God is using LWMC and its distinct intergenerational ministry to bless and touch lives around us. We have four children, and God has blessed us with three grandchildren.
What impresses me as a Methodist is the interconnectedness, cooperation and collaboration among Methodists. I have served as small group leader, choir member, LCEC member and on various TRAC and GC boards. Regardless of age and Annual Conference, what amazes me is how everybody works together to further his Kingdom and for his glory.
In LWMC, we have served as praise team singers and greeters. These roles gave us the opportunities to work with younger members who teach us how they use their God-given talents to know and serve God. As greeters, we are the first point of contact for newcomers and can offer Christian hospitality and encourage them to come regularly to worship God.
In this season of our life, Eunice and I are committed to serving the Lord together in the pastoral care ministry at MWS Nursing Home – Yew Tee. We are also committed to come alongside young adults and their families in our church, to be their cheerleaders and listening ears, and provide whatever support we can give.
