I joined the worship ministry at the start of 2025 and have been serving in this ministry for about a year. The reason why I joined this ministry is to share the experience of what I feel when I worship Jesus. Personally, I believe that worship is a designated time set apart during service where Christians revere and sing praises to God. It is a special time where we respond to God regardless of the circumstances, we have been through during the week. In this respect, I hold the time of worship very precious in my heart, as it is a time for praise, prayer and pondering upon the words on the screen.
The worship team reflects well the Body of Christ mentioned by the apostle Paul. From the worship leader at the front to the AV crew at the back, everyone plays an important role in preparing the church to be in the presence of God. Although people in my ministry take time off from their weekdays to practise in church, I believe that we all do our best in this ministry for the glory of God.
I pray that the Church will always keep in mind that in all things we put Christ at the centre. Everyone has a part to play in Church and no role is too small for the Church. Amen!
