On 17 July 2025, ACS Bali—the eighth member of the Anglo-Chinese School (ACS) family—was officially dedicated to the Lord. Just days before welcoming it first students, the school held a meaningful Dedication and Blessing Service, marking the beginning of a new Christian mission in one of the world’s most beautiful island settings.
Bishop Sabam Lumbantobing and Rev Johannes Samosir of The Methodist Church in Indonesia led the blessing. Guests from across the ACS global community, including Mr Tan Wah Thong, Chairman of the ACS (International) Board of Management, Mr Choe Peng Sum, Chairman of the ACS Board of Governors, Dr Wong Heng Yu, President of the ACSOBA, Mr Cheo Chai Hong, Chairman of the ACS Foundation, Mr Kim Seah, Mr Goh Say Hong and Mr Wee Cheng Hoon, attended the event.
Executive Principal Rob Burrough paid tribute to the vision and partnership that brought the project to life—including the shareholders, ACS Singapore, ACS Bali Yayasan, the project design and construction teams and the founding staff. He reflected on the school’s purpose through the words of Matthew 5:14, calling ACS Bali to be “a light on a hill”, raising servant-hearted leaders grounded in integrity and faith.
Speaking on behalf of the shareholders, Mrs Tuti Hadiputranto, Chairperson of ACS Bali Yayasan, shared the group’s delight at partnering with ACS Singapore to fill a long-felt need for a high-quality, Christian international school in Bali. She also spoke about the ambitious vision behind the Kura Kura Bali development, which ACS Bali is proud to anchor.
The newly completed campus is designed to support up to 1,000 students in Phase 1, and features 33 classrooms, 12 science laboratories, a two-storey sports hall, outdoor courts and a 500-seat Chapel and Multipurpose Hall. A swimming pool is in the pipeline and yes—ACS Bali even has its own Clock Tower.
More than just buildings, however, the day celebrated the spiritual foundation of the school. Proverbs 3:5-6 guided the prayers blessing walk through each school space, dedicating them to God’s purpose.
ACS Bali begins not just as a school—but as a testimony to God’s faithfulness and a light to the nations. The Best is Yet To Be!
