ACS (International) off to good start, says Education Minister

THE Minister for Education, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, paid an official visit to ACS (International) on July 4, 2007. He was welcomed by Mr Tan Wah Thong, Chairman of the ACS Board of Governors, and the Rev Dr John Barrett, the Principal of the school.

He was briefed on the school’s philosophy and approach by the Rev Dr Barrett and senior teachers. There was also a discussion on the school curriculum.

The minister then toured the school and visited the classes.

After his visit, he said: “An enjoyable visit.

“ACS (International) is off to a good start. The students are enthusiastic and the school is already shaping a distinctive spirit and approach.”
