The Rev Dr J. Daniel, who was pastor of the church for more than 30 years, delivered the sermon. He urged the congregation to continue to win souls and prepare for the second coming of Christ.
The celebrations began with three days of evangelistic healing meetings from May 30 to June 1.
Pasir Panjang Tamil Methodist Church had a humble beginning at Alexandra Brickworks at Pasir Panjang Road in 1927. It moved on to the Rev Dr Daniel’s home before finally settling at its current building in Wishart Road in 1977. — T. JEEVANANTHAM (LCEC Chairman).
