We will encounter foes,
Life will have its woes,
But God will help us to survive;
Better still, He will give us life.
He will heal and He will save,
He will lift us from the grave.
Weeping may last through the night,
Joy comes with the Eternal Light.
For joy in all its fullness,
Comes by abiding in Jesus;
By obeying God’s commands,
Not doubting His demands.
It is not circumstances;
But God’s love in Jesus;
We need always to deploy,
To experience abiding joy.
I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up…
You healed me… You brought my soul up from the grave…
give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.
For His anger is but for a moment, His favour is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night,
But joy comes in the morning.
(Psalm 30:1-5, NKJV)
“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love…
These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you,
and that your joy may be full.”
(John 15:10-11, NKJV)
