Help MMS build Bible school in Eastern Nepal

THE more I listened to him and his church leaders the more I was impressed. Pastor Gopal has poured his life and his own money into building the Mahima Church.

For the past three years, the Methodist Missions Society (MMS) has been working with him to develop the Caleb Bible Institute. He has proved to be a faithful and diligent partner.

The partnership has been so successful that the MMS leadership has given the green light to begin raising funds to upgrade the current Bible Institute facilities.

At present, the grass hut can only take 12 students at a time. The leaders of the Mahima Church (an independent church) have been asking the Lord to lead them to join a wider network of churches, and they have decided to come under our Methodist umbrella.

I am asking the Lord to speak to one Methodist church in Singapore to explore a partnership with Pastor Gopal and the Mahima Church to plant churches in the surrounding villages.

It costs about S$7,500 to sponsor 30 students for a four-month training programme or about S$250 per student. The cost of building the Caleb Bible Institute is estimated at S$60,000.

Please contact me at tel: 6478-4800 if you would like to join us in this meaningful project.

The Rev Dr Norman Wong is the Executive Director of the Methodist Missions Society.
